Viewership is still going strong


even during the transition to streaming from the cable box.

More people are watching live sporting events than ever.

Streaming for sports is years away from being as big as people are assuming.

TV isn't going to be dead, it will have some leveling off.

People have always been assuming that young people are not getting cable. The data shows that more than half of the young people are still using cable and streaming (I fit into that same thing...cable and streaming).

FOX and ESPN will still make a ton of money as streaming becomes more mainstream and as streaming improves.

YouTube TV, Sling TV, etc, have a long ways to go. Hulu is the big player right now.

The same people who pay for cable to watch sports today will still watch sports when paying for the streaming. The ones who don't want to watch sports will find something outside of sports or they will still end up paying for streaming that has sports but don't bother to watch like they do today.

In the end, the money just moves from the cable box sub to streaming sub.

Large universities with large alumni basis, state flageships and new states will continue to be the model of conference expansion
